Wow! You issue a group a challenge, and they really rise to the occasion!
About a month and a half ago, the coordinator asked the group if it would be willing to work double-time to get the blankets cranked out before the post office raises the postage rate in May.
Well, the ladies have been working feverishly to reach this goal, and the blankets are literally flying off of the needles!
Here's the progress of several, with a few completed ones as well!
One of our members, Pinnut, has cranked out three new blankets since the last blog post. This one is called Chutes and Ladders.
She also knit Arctic Ice. Dimpledapple finished it with a lovely border (her first blanket border for the group! Great job!!).
Pinnut also made Little Princess. She knit the border too! For details on the border, please visit her
blog.
Sepenguins posted this picture of Pumpkin Pie. We started it back in the Fall, before Thanksgiving. It has resumed its journey across the West Coast...about halfway done.
The next blanket is Surf and Sand. One more knitter to go before it gets a border!
Here's Jewel of the Nile. It, too, has one more knitter before heading to the last gal for a border.
This blanket is called Chocolate Covered Cherries. It reminds me of a hot fudge sundae! Yum!
This blanket is Fruity Pebbles. It's one of our newer blankets. The colors remind me of summer fruit!
Here's Snowball, which we decided had to be all white, of course! One of our newest knitters recently added her section...her first Oddball blanket! Woo Hoo!
Great job ladies!!
