Grand Canyon Sunset is Smelling Like a Rose

Auntcrafty finished her portion of Grand Canyon Sunset.

The section completed was done in SS "Rose Violet" in the Diamond Panel pattern (from Knit & Purl). The color was inspired by this Grand Canyon Sunset photo I found. On my screen the rose color on the clouds matches the yarn. The pattern is because of the Arizona Diamond Backs baseball team. I tried to get a close up of the pattern, but all the pics came out blurry. However, here is a picture of the four completed sections.

Purple Mountains Majesty - Ready to Travel Again!

Tobinknits finished working on Purple Mountains Majesty. It's beautiful!

On to the next knitter!

Another Knitter and Another Blanket to Cast On

Wow! The charity knitting bug is really contagious! We have ANOTHER knitter! She is kaniger (both on KH and Ravelry). Welcome!

To celebrate the addition of our recent joinees, a new blanket will be cast on shortly. This one will be called California Coast, and it will be knit in alternating stripes of blue and gold, which are California's state colors.

The knitters for this blanket are:

auburnchick (casting on)
kaniger
sepenguins (rav)
Purlingkitten
nostash2big(rav)
knittinmitchie
tripletmomma (border)

The yarn will travel with the blanket, and all knitters will use the same yarn to keep the colors identical.

Exciting stuff, people! Lots of babies to knit for! Woo Hoo!

The list of blankets (to the right) has been adjusted to include our newest member.

Wyospinner, if you're out there, please send AuburnChick a message and let her know that you are still interested in working on the blankets.
