Grand Canyon Sunset is Complete!

Tripletmomma added a beautiful shell border to the Grand Canyon Sunset blanket. This blanket reminds me (the writer of this post) of the trip I took in the spring, when my plane flew over the Grand Canyon on its way to Las Vegas. What a lovely sight to behold.

Grand Canyon Sunset is Smelling Like a Rose

Auntcrafty finished her portion of Grand Canyon Sunset.

The section completed was done in SS "Rose Violet" in the Diamond Panel pattern (from Knit & Purl). The color was inspired by this Grand Canyon Sunset photo I found. On my screen the rose color on the clouds matches the yarn. The pattern is because of the Arizona Diamond Backs baseball team. I tried to get a close up of the pattern, but all the pics came out blurry. However, here is a picture of the four completed sections.

Woo Hoo! Grand Canyon Sunset continues to grow!

Dimpledapple finished her portion, using Red Heart Soft in the color Honey.

Purple Mountains Majesty and Grand Canyon Sunset Are Alive and Kicking!

AuburnChick was busy this weekend. During a long road trip to Virginia, she cast on two baby blankets.

Purple Mountains Majesty was knit using Caron Simply Soft, and the color is Violet (9908). The pattern is called Reverse Stockinette Stitch Chevrons from the book, knit & purl.

Here's Grand Canyon Sunset. The yarn is Caron Simply Soft, and the color is Mango (9502). The pattern is called Purl Triangles from the same book (a GREAT stitch reference, by the way)!
